12 Teams to Compete for Junior Men’s World Fast Pitch Championship

(Whitehorse, YT) – A field of 12 teams has been finalized for the upcoming ISF Junior Men’s World Fast Pitch Championship being staged at Whitehorse’s Pepsi Softball Centre from June 20 – 29.
The roster of teams vying for the international championship will be: host nation Canada, the United States, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Argentina, Venezuela, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Botswana and South Africa.

The teams will compete in one pool while playing their way through a round robin qualifying round. All teams will have a chance to play against each other before the top teams go on to compete in the playoff round.

To satisfy this very full competition schedule, both diamonds at the Pepsi Softball Centre will host games simultaneously. Each day of competition for the round robin portion of the championship will stage games from morning until evening, making for some very full days for event staff.

The Host Committee for the ISF Junior Men’s World Fast Pitch Championship is looking for an estimated 200 – 250 volunteers to fill a variety of positions some of whom will act as hosts to the international teams.
