Profile - George White

 

George White will throw the ceremonial first pitch for the ISF Junior Men's Championships. George White has lived in the Yukon for 31 years and has been involved in fast ball as a pitcher and a coach. He was President of Softball Yukon for 10 years.

As a Yukoner, George played in seven national championships, participated in many tournaments and competed at other championships such as the Western Canadian Championships in Senior Men's and Masters categories. George coached women's fastball, Junior Men's Fastball and worked to help develop junior level ball in the Yukon.

George has made a major contribution to the sport over the years as a player, coach and volunteer and is pleased to see Whitehorse hosting such a significant world level event and welcome teams from around the world.
