Championship Event Only Four Weeks Away

Whitehorse, YT – The 2008 ISF Junior Men’s Fast Pitch World Championship are now only four weeks away. Tournament organizers are gearing up to welcome 12 nations to Whitehorse this June 20 to 29.

The Whitehorse organizing committee says the event is well in hand. Over 150 volunteers have registered and 13 local businesses have joined the list of sponsors.

“The planning is coming along well,” said George Arcand, Chair of the 2008 ISF Junior Men’s World Fast Pitch Championship. “Everyone involved is getting pretty excited to get this tournament started. It is going to be some very high level ball, definitely worth checking out.”

Ticket sales are also going well. Tickets can be purchased at the Sport Yukon building or by calling (867) 667-4487. Tournament passes are on sale for $100. The pass gives you access to all the games for the entire tournament.
